Blaise Pascal Kararumiye, the Radio Isanganiro’s correspondent in Karuzi has been released in the afternoon of this 20 January 2020. He was summoned to appear at the office of the Governor of Karuzi province where he was heard by the governor, her advisers, all communal administrators of Karuzi province as well as the public prosecutor of the same province.

Mr Kararumiye has been detained in the police dungeon in Karuzi commune since January 16, 2020.
He was arrested under the order of Carinie Mbarushimana, the Governor of Karuzi province. He was imprisoned after being interrogated by the public prosecutor in Karuzi on a report he did on the interference of some communal administrators in the management of funds granted to “Sangwe” development cooperatives
Three days ago, Sylvère Ntakarutimana, Director of Radio Isanganiro had asked for the release of his employee arguing that that he committed no offense.
