It’s a 26-year-old girl tested among 23 others who had been in contact with the two COVID-19 patients identified on 30 March.
“22 cases tested negative for coronavirus and one tested positive, “said Minister Ndikumana adding that the infected girl was living in the same house with one of the previously reported COVID-19 patients.

The Public Health Minister says the girl is currently admitted to the COVID-19 treatment center at Prince Louis Rwagasore Clinical Hospital. “Her health is good,” he said.

Mr Ndikumana calls on the population to remain vigilant against COVID-19 and asks them to remain calm and continue to go about their daily activities while strictly observing individual and collective hygiene measures.
