“FENADED condemns this heinous crime that took away a life of an innocent person who left behind six children including a baby of 8 months”, reads a communiqué issued on 6 December.

On 4 December, around 9:00 p.m. in Kajiji quarter of Kanyosha in south of Bujumbura, Prime Nduwimana, a police officer shot his spouse dead and wounded his nine-month-old baby over family quarrel.

FENADEB appreciates that the murderer was quickly arrested and asks that he be sentenced according to the law. Jacques Nshimirimana, FENADEB chairman calls on the government especially the Ministry of Public Security to regularly organize training sessions towards police and military officers on the management of the firearms they carry.
