According to Laurent Harushimana, CNL party leader in Makamba Province, Concessa Nzeyimana is accused of not having voted for the ruling CNDD-FDD party in the previous general elections of May 20. “The administrative official ordered the police officers to destroy the house as immediately as possible,” says Harushimana.

The CNL party leader deplores what happened and denounces the persecution perpetrated against the party members. “The ruling party won the triple elections of May 20, why should it continue persecuting our members after the elections?” wonders Harushimana adding that CNL party expect to bring the case to the national human rights commission-CNIDH.

Laurent Harushimana calls on justice officials to restore the widow to her rights. “It would be better if her house is rebuilt and her money reimbursed,” he says.
Laurent Harushimana also adds that similar cases of political intolerance are also reported in Nyanza-Lac commune.

He exhorts administrative officials to calm down all party members as they continue to live together after elections.
