Delay in opening polling stations in southern Bujumbura

Voting activities at the polling stations located at Lycée Kanyosha, in Kinanira II neighborhood, in south of the economic capital Bujumbura have begun around 7:30 a.m.

This voting center has 13 polling stations and 6,550 voters are expected vote.

Voters complain about the delay in starting the voting activities and the agents of the electoral commission complain about the space which is not sufficient enough to accommodate all voters.

CNDD-FDD, CNL, UPRONA, CDP party observers and those of independent candidates are already on the site.

While CENI agents have put on protective masks, no preventive measure against Covid-19 was implemented on the side of the voters.
