{"id":9802,"date":"2018-08-20T10:34:14","date_gmt":"2018-08-20T10:34:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/?p=9802"},"modified":"2018-08-20T12:28:36","modified_gmt":"2018-08-20T12:28:36","slug":"burundi-government-to-attend-5th-dialog-session-on-condition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/burundi-government-to-attend-5th-dialog-session-on-condition\/","title":{"rendered":"Burundi Government to attend 5th dialog session on condition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>T\u00e9rence Ntahiraja, Spokesperson for ministry of Home Affairs says Burundi government has never been opposed to dialogue. \u201cBurundi government will attend the upcoming dialog session only if it is well organized,\u201d he says adding that he believes it will be the last.<\/p>\n<p>On 14 august, Mr Ntahiraja had said the Inter-Burundian dialogue session is no longer relevant. \u201cIt belongs to the past\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>On 17 August, a delegation of the Office of the Facilitator of the Inter-Burundi dialogue met with Burundi government, leaders of political parties and the diplomatic corps in the capital Bujumbura.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/ruling-cndd-fdd-party-to-attend-5th-round-of-inter-burundian-dialogue\/\" target=\"_blank\">The ruling party-CNDD-FDD which had attended the meeting said it is ready to participate in the next dialog session<\/a>. Joseph Ntakarutimana, Deputy Secretary General of the party said the dialog session would lead to the implementation of a consensual roadmap to 2020 elections. .<\/p>\n<p>As for Agathon Rwasa, chairman of \u201cAmizero y\u2019 Abarundi\u201d opposition coalition, he insists on monitoring the implementation of a compromise that would come out of the next dialog session. &#8220;Otherwise, the roadmap that will result from this session will be counterproductive\u201d, he said.
