The December 2017 deadline was not met due to different consultations and arrangements between partners,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>He reminds however that this activity requires everyone\u2019s responsibility. \u201cEverybody has to take their responsibility so as to make effective the return of these street children and beggars. Burundians have to revive the culture of assistance. They have to guide those children after their return\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Jacques Nshimirimana, Children\u2019s rights activist, appreciates the government\u2019s initiative and how it is going on. He says the government, families and associations defending children\u2019s rights should collaborate closely so as to prevent the concerned people from going back to the streets. \u201cStreet children and beggars have their reasons to be on the streets and the latter have to be considered so as to make their return successful\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The activities of removing children and beggars from the streets are due to take place in the whole country from April 30 to May11 as said by the minister of solidarity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three ministries of Solidarity, Interior and Public Security are proceeding with the return of street children and beggars to their respective families.
