Both customers and passengers have been affected. \u201cThe explosion injured at least thirty people\u201d, says a victim of the attack who was hit by the shrapnel from the grenade \u201cWe don\u2019t know who threw the grenade because it was dark\u201d, she says.<\/p>\n<p>Residents of the area believe that the lack of electricity increases insecurity risk. \u201cWe will no longer sit outdoors as we cannot identify criminals\u201d, says one of them. For him, the company that supplies water and electricity (REGIDESO) would put an end to the electricity blackout. \u201cWe can contribute to the strengthening of security in the night only if there is electricity\u201d, he also says.<\/p>\n<p>As for Pierre Nkurikiye, police spokesman, the grenade that was thrown at the \u201cKubajandarume\u201d bar injured only seven people. \u201cThe perpetrator was identified and the vehicle seized\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/four-police-officers-wounded-in-a-grenade-attack-in-central-bujumbura\/\" target=\"_blank\">11 July<\/a>, a grenade exploded in the same neighborhood and wounded four police officers.
