She says CNARED decision is meaningless. \u201cThey do not have right to take such decision as their term has expired. Their current duty is to only manage daily affairs of the Council\u201d, she says.<\/p>\n<p>Nzomukunda says the most important and urgent thing is to focus on the inter-Burundian dialogue process. She says it is unfortunate that CNARED has dismissed the regional mediation under the facilitation of former Tanzanian President, William Mkapa. \u201cCNARED is divided into two groups. Those who support the Inter-Burundian dialogue process under the EAC facilitation and those who do not\u201d, she says.<\/p>\n<p>The chairperson of ADR says that those who do not support the dialogue have failed in their mission.<\/p>\n<p>CNARED board of directors says it is a provisional measure which cannot weaken the platform. \u201cThe temporary suspension will strengthen the opposition platform because the chief aim of the recently suspended members from CNARED governing board is to destroy CNARED-Giriteka\u201d, says J\u00e9r\u00e8mie Minani, Spokesperson for CNARED.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/dissension-within-opposition-platform-over-executive-board-term\/\" target=\"_blank\">The decision was taken following the statement issued on 29 January by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bamvuginyumvira stating that the term of CNARED Board had expired.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alice Nzomukunda and Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bamvuginyumvira, two former Burundi deputy presidents, have been suspended temporarily from the governing board of CNARED.
