The incident occurred at Bwiza, the center of Bujumbura nearby the bar commonly called \u201cNyabisumo, 5th Avenue\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>That armed group broke into the property and opened fire. The victim was visiting a friend. According to sources on the ground, the three criminals said they were looking for B\u00e8de Havyarimana. They shot the latter when he attempted to defend himself.<\/p>\n<p>He was shot several times on the chest. The police intervened but it was too late because the murderers had already run away leaving the victim lying in a pool of blood. He was urgently evacuated at the \u201cArche de Kigobe \u201cHospital, where the medical charity M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res set up a medical team.<\/p>\n<p>In the same night, armed individuals also attacked some households in Buyenzi area, in the center of Bujumbura.
