The Burundian gospel singer, Chance Bauni Nasibu is delighted to be competing against an international array of gospel singers in the Prayze Factor Award. The Prayze Factor Award, based in Atlanta USA, discovers, promotes and rewards exciting new international talents in gospel music. This year it is in its sixth season.
\nChance Bauni Nasibu, is a smiley 31 years old. Music – and in particular gospel music runs in his veins. He always dreamed of being an international music artist. He prays and regularly performs at Christian Life Ministries (CLM), based at the former Od\u00e9on Palace in Bujumbura. Though his main passion is gospel, his talents are diverse, and he can play a variety of styles of music including jazz and classic. “Music is my life,” he proudly says.<\/p>\n

Chance\u2019s song, ‘I will live,\u2019sung with Gaby Kamanzi, a Rwandan gospel singer opened doors of opportunity for him.\u201cAn American who I connected with on Facebook provided me with some possible contacts for promoting my international music career. Amongst these were Key Maurice, an American, originally from Kenya but who was born in Jamaica and grew up in Canada. As a result of himself having won the Prayze Factor Award, Maurice was able to nominate an artist. And thus Chance was entered to the competition and onto the international stage.<\/p>\n

Nasibu states that the only African countries competing are Burundi, Ghana and Uganda. “To me, for Burundi to be among countries competing is an honor and a pleasure”, he says.
\nHe urges all Burundians and other supporters to vote for him. Voting is online up until 5th January 2015, and voters can vote as many times as they like.
\nThe results of the first round of the competition are planned before 8 January 2015, and for the second round, 8 February 2015.
