The Rapid Response Team established by the Ministry of Public Health has conducted the screening of 85 people including 37 actives cases under medical control, six suspected cases from Kira and Bumerec hospitals in Bujumbura city and 42 persons who were in contact with infected people from 8 to10 June.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16370\" style=\"width: 520px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16370\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-16370\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Clinique-PLR.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Clinique-PLR.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Clinique-PLR-300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Clinique-PLR-768x442.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Clinique-PLR-600x345.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-16370\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Active COVID-19 cases are under medical treatment<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAmong the six suspected cases alerted by some hospitals, four turn out positive for COVID-19 while out of 42 contacted people seven were tested positive,\u201d reads the statement.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Public Health also reported 16 former patients who have been discharged from hospital. \u201cWe continue to identify other people who have been infected\u201d, continues the communiqu\u00e9.
