Aloys Baricako, Chairman of Kira Burundi Coalition says his political Coalition doesn\u2019t reject the provisional results of the presidential and legislative elections released on Monday by the electoral body. \u201cWe don\u2019t want to see once again any Burundian being killed or fleeing his country due to the electoral conflict,\u201d says Baricako, a day after the release of the provisional results of the general elections.<\/p>\n

On 25 May, the Independent National Electoral Commission-CENI declared<\/a> Evariste Ndayishimiye, candidate for the ruling CNDD-FDD party, the winner of the presidential election with 68, 72%. He is followed by Agathon Rwasa, Ndayishimiye\u2019s main challenger and candidate of CNL party with 24, 19%. Former president Domitien Ndayizeye representing Kira Burundi Coalition has got 0,55%.<\/p>\n

Aloys Baricako says the general elections of May 20 were marred by enormous irregularities. \u201cI believe that the vote buying will progressively end if all Burundians become politically mature,\u201d he says. Chairman of Kira Burundi coalition calls on the winner to rule for everyone.<\/p>\n
