The note verbale signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 12 and made public on May 13, didn\u2019t reveal the motives behind this expulsion.<\/p>\n<p>Contacted, Sonia Nibayubahe, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has indicated that the decision has been taken for the country\u2018s interest. \u201cSuch kind of correspondence cannot contain the motives,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, the Burundian government <a href=\"https:\/\/iwacu.global.ssl.fastly.net\/englishnews\/burundi-three-un-human-rights-experts-declared-persona-non-grata\/\">declared<\/a> Mr. Doudou Di\u00e8ne, Mrs. Lucy Asuagbor and Mrs. Francoise Hampson, all UN human rights experts, persona non grata on the Burundian territory.
