Nun Colette Murimbane, Managing Director of the center, says there are no visits or internships within the center. \u201cWe fear that they should be affected as we heard that people aged over 70 are the most targeted group,\u201d she says. For her, the decision doesn\u2019t affect them as they are busy listening to radios and praying. \u201cThey are now informed about the novel coronavirus.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_453\" style=\"width: 557px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-453\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-453\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nun-Colette-Murimbane.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"547\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nun-Colette-Murimbane.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Nun-Colette-Murimbane-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 547px) 100vw, 547px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-453\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nun Colette Murimbane: \u201cThey are informed that they are the most targeted group\u201d.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>They are aware that they are the most targeted group,\u201d he says adding that they are so busy that they don\u2019t think about isolation. \u201cThey don\u2019t have time to waste,\u201d Nun Colette Murimbane says.<\/p>\n<p>Willy Gatore, Geriatrics Specialist indicates that a special care is needed for old people in this period of COVID-19 outbreak. \u201cOld people are the most affected throughout the world\u201d, he says adding that they are also physiologically, psychologically and financially fragile. &#8220;Financial fragility leads to physical and social fragility,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>Gatore calls on the government to take particular measures to take care of those old people. \u201cThe health condition can be worsened if nothing is done these days. Everyone may be affected but old people will be more affected,\u201d he says. He, however, says visits should not be suspended. \u201cThese visits should continue when those centers are supported. Old people need to have easy access to health care and financial support,\u201d he says.
