It was during the presentation of his ministry\u2019s half-yearly achievements that he marked 98% this January 9.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14868\" style=\"width: 511px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14868\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-14868\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Martin-Nivyabandi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"501\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Martin-Nivyabandi.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Martin-Nivyabandi-300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Martin-Nivyabandi-768x442.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Martin-Nivyabandi-600x345.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 501px) 100vw, 501px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14868\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Martin Nivyabandi: \u201cDifferent humanitarians intervene since natural disasters hit some localities leaving behind several victims\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Martin Nivyabandi has also said the victims of a landslide that hit Cibitoke province at the beginning of December are now in temporary shelters and will soon receive their homes. \u201cWe are working with the local administration to mobilize local residents including members of political parties and religious denominations to erect walls of their houses\u201d, he said adding that the government is ready to provide sheets to cover their houses.<\/p>\n<p>Concerning the victims of \u201cWinterekwa\u201d and Buterere\u201d neighborhoods, in the north of Bujumbura city, Minister Nivyabandi has said the government is looking for means to accommodate those families in appropriate shelters.<\/p>\n<p>The official report published on December 23, reported 15 dead and 45 injured. 57 houses were completely destroyed, 57 others partially demolished and 132 were flooded in \u201cWinterekwa\u201d and Nyabagere neighborhoods.
