I could not access university without it,&#8221; says M.J one of these graduates.<br \/>\nOthers say they want to go to look for jobs in DRC but are forced to stay in the country because they do not have diplomas. \u201cWe cannot apply for jobs without diplomas,\u201d regrets M.J.<\/p>\n<p>Pascal Nkurunziza, the principal of Dama High School says that \u201che completed the necessary files for these students to get diplomas. \u201cWe&#8217;ve done everything necessary for our graduates to receive their diplomas,&#8221; he says. Mr Nkurunziza calls on officials of the Ministry of Education to solve this problem.<\/p>\n<p>In correspondence addressed to the principal of Dama High School on August 28, 2018, Janviere Ndirahisha, the Minister of Education canceled the diplomas of 31 graduates accused of presenting fraudulent documents attesting that they attended and successfully completed the 10th grade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former students of Dama high school in the southern Rumonge province who completed high school in 2017 staged a sit-in on May 14 in front of the school&#8217;s management office.
