And it is impossible to attain it without financial means,\u201d he says adding that there is a need to redirect the goals and work together with others.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12012\" style=\"width: 483px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12012\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-12012\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Participants-.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"473\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Participants-.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Participants--300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Participants--768x442.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.iwacu-burundi.org\/englishnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Participants--600x345.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12012\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Participants in the meeting were called on to share views with their colleagues<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mr. Mahoro says a good leader must be humble, receptive to others, responsible and honest. \u201cNot only leaders must take into consideration those values, they also must be wise and competent for accountable leadership,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>As for Marie Immacul\u00e9e Ntacobakimvunye who represented the National Congress for Liberty-CNL in the meeting, she says women leaders also face several challenges. \u201cThere is self-discrimination among them even if some want to promote themselves,\u201d she says adding that men also constitute an obstacle. \u201cThey are selfish.\u201d She, however, says competence is a prerequisite for a good leader.<\/p>\n<p>Jules Manirakunda, representative of youths affiliated to Frodebu Nyakuri party says the leadership skills will allow the party followers to ensure a good and responsible leadership. \u201cWe will share views and each one of us will know how to behave in their society,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>The local NGO \u201cInitiatives et Changement-Burundi Tugender\u2019ubuntu\u201d has organized this two-day meeting to raise the awareness of representatives of institutions, leaders of political parties, religious groups, civil society organizations and media professionals on accountable leadership on the eve of 2020 elections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anicet Mahoro, speaker in a two-day meeting organized by a local NGO \u00ab Initiatives et Changement-Burundi Tugender-ubuntu \u00bb this 19 March, has said leadership in Burundi is faced with several challenges, many of which related to financial means. \u201cA good leader should have an objective.
