Apart from the Burundian President or Burundi government that had not responded to the invitation, other member countries of the EAC were represented.<\/p>\n<p>Ugandan President and current EAC Chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta were present in Arusha. Rwanda was represented by its Minister in charge of foreign affairs Richard Sezibera and South Sudan sent its Minister of Commerce and Industry.<\/p>\n<p>On 24 November, Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza had asked his Ugandan counterpart to postpone this summit.
