All the women who attended the campaign for the promotion of women’s work in Bujumbura launched by Action Aid recognize the importance of grouping together into associations for their empowerment.
Through a sketch, young girls praise the benefits of joining associations
Associations equip their members with knowledge in relation to their rights and introduce them to income generating activities. They also help them to access means to carry out their projects.
Participants call on women leaders to help in raising awareness about the importance of associations, in order to be well informed about their rights and consequently fight for their respect.
Participants come from Ruyigi, Rutana, Karusi and Bujumbura provinces.
