This Sunday, Bishop Evariste Ngoyagoye, the Bujumbura archbishop who led prayer at the Schoenstatt Marian Shrine at Gikungu Mount Zion, invited Catholic military and police officers to perform their missions with patriotism and wisdom. It was during their passage through the holy door of mercy.

We are in a year dedicated to divine mercy, he continued, an opportunity to repent and get rid of our sinful nature.

The event closed a week during which catholic military and police officers received various teachings to better serve their nation.

This jubilee year of the “Divine Mercy” began on the 8th December 2015 and will close on the 20th November 2016 with the feast of Christ the King.
