Burundi Revenue Authority nearly achieved its monthly target

According to a press release published on 3 October 2014, the provisional revenue collection results for September shows that the Burundi Revenue Authority (OBR) didn’t achieve the corresponding target of BIF 66.61 bn.-By Diane Uwimana

“OBR has collected 65.86bn , meaning that the results are 1.12% below target,” says Dr Domitien Ndihokubwayo, General Commissioner of OBR. He indicates that compared to last year, the results show an increase of BIF 8.10bn. “In September 2013, OBR collected 57.76bn”, the Commissioner adds.

Since the beginning of 2014, OBR collected an amount of BIF 464.08 bn, within 42.72 bn above cumulative 2013 results (+ 10.14%).
